When things aren’t working quite as you’d like, I’m a big fan of just changing something.
You see we can get totally hung up on the ‘right thing to do’ and end up stuck. In sales speak it’s called ‘analysis paralysis’ and it just means you end up looking at the choices again and again and basically doing nothing with the information.
So if you’re feeling stuck, in a rut, bored, whatever it is, then just change something. Don’t send your whole life up in flames. Don’t dance through town burning the bridges behind you, but just do something.
Even if it’s not the right choice, it will probably point you in the right direction.
Right now I want a change, so I’m gearing up to go abroad as a digital nomad. It could be for three months, it could be for the rest of my life. It could be until I run into the perfect girl on a Caribbean island.
It’s one of those, I’ll know when I get there.
For you, though, it might be a matter of changing jobs, of finding a new client. It might even be finding a new girl or changing your approach with the one you have.
Because as Tony Robbins said: “If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got.”
I think Albert Einstein said it better. That’s why he’s on the meme for the day. That and the fact that the science great was actually a bit of a rock star in his own weird way.
He lived life on his terms, he was actually pretty cool.
You need to live life on your own terms, too, and if it isn’t working for you right now then you need to do something about that.
